Instructor Sarah Pearson Pek

Sarah is 17 years old, she is a student at Leigh College.  Sarah is studying English Language, English Literature and Media Studies!

Sarah first began Tai Chi in 2002 when she was fourteen years old under Sue Johnson in the Han Shen Centre in Tyldesley, 3 weeks after joining Tai Chi Sarah met Master Liu Yong, with whome she trained Pushing Hands with.  In September 2003 Sarah entered the Eurowirral Martial arts Tournament with the first fifteen movements of the Chen Style Lio Jia Tai Chi form, She didn't win anything but it's the taking part that counts! 

In 2004 Sarah was in a number of demonstrations ranging from Manchester (Chinese New Year and Autumn Moon Festival), to Bury, Ramsbottom and even in ASDA!!! Master Liu Yong came over again in 2004 who with Sarah trained countless seminars with, some were Lio Jia, Sword and Sabre to name but a few! 

In July 2004 Sarah went to China for two weeks to train with Master Liu Yong and his students, in China Sarah reviewed the Lio Jia, 18 short form, Sword, Sabre, Pushing Hands and Silk Reeling.  After Sarah had come back from China she entered the Eurowirral Martial arts Tournament again and came 2nd place in the beginners empty hand form and 3rd place in the Weapons category for her Sword form!  Sarah was in the local press and was asked to do countless demonstrations at local social clubs!  Sarah has just returned from China and she really enjoyed it!  Each day, Sarah, John and Sue trained for six hours!!!! Sarah has also just achieved 2nd place for intermediate Tai Chi form and 3rd place for her beginner Sabre form! They met up with lots of new and old friends and really enjoyed their time there!
